This was another very fun project. We got a call from these wonderful clients after a couple other local companies failed to finish the project satisfactorily. We cleaned up erroneous programming, fixed a faulty home network and cleaned up all the messy wiring. Once this was all done, we were able to add and upgrade some things including a few extra audio zones, some lighting control, a couple extra TVs and a custom doorbell system. The doorbell system allows the homeowners to choose from 5 different sounds from the Control4 UI and plays the selected sound over all the indoor and outdoor speakers when the doorbell is pushed. Also, a video intercom feed from the front door pops up on the Control4 touch-panel and allows 2-way verbal communication with the visitor at the door. In the back-yard, several speakers were installed that look just like landscape lights. This helps add some life to a back-yard party without taking away from the aesthetics of the beautiful landscaping. Two TVs and several in-ceiling speakers were installed in the basement that allow the homeowners to entertain guests with high-quality music and video and/or a slideshow of their favorite pictures. Custom lighting scenes in the basement help set the mood with the push of a single button. This is just one example of how a custom smart-home system from D-Lux Home Systems can ease some of the complexities of life and add a layer of elegance to any home.
Sometimes you just need a TV hung on the wall. Well, we can do that! Don't want to see any wires? Well, we can do that, too! We will take the time to carefully measure and secure the TV to the wall at a height that you are most comfortable with, and run the appropriate wires through the wall to where your components live. We can even add an electrical outlet behind the TV without having to hire an expensive electrician (one advantage of this is that the TV can be surge protected with the rest of your equipment). To get a TV safely secured on the wall and wired correctly, there is a lot more to take into account than you would expect. Call us today for a free consultation!
Moving is a big pain in the butt... However, one call to D-Lux Home Systems can take a lot of the stress out of the whole experience. This client moved to Evergreen from Florida, and needed some professional help getting their surround sound system set up properly. D-Lux Home Systems to the rescue! We took a pile of wires and audio/video components and turned it into an amazing sounding, attractive system that is extremely easy to use thanks to a Universal Remote MX-980. With a Panasonic plasma TV, KEF slim-line speakers, a Klipsh subwoofer and some quality A/V components, this system will rock Evergreen for a long time. Of course, with every surround sound system, we take care to tweak speaker levels so that you are hearing exactly what the director of the movie intended you to hear. Good speakers help, too. If you have never heard KEF speakers, you are missing out! These models are a little over an inch thick, but sound like free-standing tower speakers! Call us today to get a set of these perfectly engineered speakers for your system.
This client had been saving up and collecting the components for this theater over the last couple years. D-Lux Home Systems was hired to put it all together and make it look and sound like it should. Because of the holiday season, we only had one day to get it done. We wired the equipment rack, hung the projector and screen, placed and tweaked the speakers, programmed a Harmony Touch remote and optimized everything for the best audio and video possible. After about 8 hours, the final product turned out great! Automated lighting control to come soon...
This projects has been as challenging as it is unique. Tired of using a pull-down projector screen that gets washed out by the sun through the stained-glass windows, Evergreen Memorial Park hired D-Lux Home Systems to put together a solution. With as many as 150 scheduled funerals and weddings services per year, this solution must be very reliable and extremely easy to use. Two LED TVs are going to be installed on either side of the projector screen to allow for visible video screens during the day. The existing projection system will remain installed to provide video for night-time services if necessary. There will be two options for video sources: they will be able to plug a computer into a special wall-plate to provide video from a small booth area, or utilize a wireless video dongle to send video from a mobile laptop or video camera. Either of these video sources can play on any of the screens allowing for a slide-show and a power-point presentation to be displayed simultaneously. To make everything easy to use, a custom-programmed RTI touch-screen will be installed in the booth area. Audio hook-ups are also part of this phase of the project. Specially designed wall-plates allow a DJ or microphone to be plugged in and distributed to each level of the barn. This will allow the park to plug in a PA speaker anywhere in the building to accommodate over-flow seating.
I have been lucky to do some projects for some very nice clients, and these guys were no exception. They called D-Lux Home System needing a new remote. Their old pronto-style Marantz remote finally gave out. Their battery-backup kept beeping and waking them up, and the cabinet with the equipment was so hot all the time I burned my hand a little when I touched it! Well, we spec'd in a new Control 4 remote, a new house amplifier, a new power conditioner and some D-Lux Home Systems tweaking magic and fixed those problems. A fan installed in the cabinetry and controlled via Control4 keeps the equipment cool, the new amp lets them listen to different things in each area, and a little bit of speaker-level tweaking caused one of the biggest smiles I have ever seen from a client. "This system has NEVER sounded so good!" Another very fun project for some very cool clients.
This was a fun project. This homeowner bought this house only to find all the electronics in shambles. The home theater was not working at all as the projector, surround sound processor and all 15 remotes were dead. The whole-home Niles audio system would not do a thing, and the rack with all the equipment was a giant low-definition mess. D-Lux Home Systems to the rescue! A new projector, surround sound processor, some Control4 automation, a little troubleshooting and some tweaking magic turned this system into a winner. Also came to find out that Aerial Acoustics makes some exceptionally nice sounding speakers.
This was a fun little job involving some existing speakers, a new 2-zone AV receiver, a little distributed audio and, of course, some Control4 to make it all easy to use.
Good eats and cold drinks! When it comes to a restaurant, three things are important; good service, good food, and a good atmosphere. Brook's Place Tavern has the first two covered in spades, and now, thanks to D-Lux Home Systems, they have the atmosphere nailed too. With over 20 TVs and 12 multi-array speakers, they needed a way to control everything without taking away from the overall productivity. Here comes D-Lux Home Systems with a Control4 solution! With one tablet mounted behind the bar, they can control each TV and the audio system with a few quick button presses. During football season, their system automatically adjusts to play the local Broncos game on the main TVs while using DirecTV's NFL Sunday Ticket to play other popular games on the other TVs. Everybody wins! If you are ever in Aspen Park, check this place out. This Control4 system has saved this restaurant a lot of money.Components:
